    Ptolemy Theory

Ptolemy's theory was that the universe revolved around Earth. He changed Aristotle's theory by explaining how the moon, stars, and planets alone had their own spheres.

    Aristotle Theory

    (Before Ptolemy's Theory) 322 BC
The Aristotelian theory of gravity stated that all things move towards their natural place. For most objects, Aristotle claimed the natural place to be the center of the earth, and they all fall towards it.
  • Newtons Theory

Newtons Theory stated that gravity was all around the universe, not just Earth. Also changing Artisoles Theory which said that all things moves towards Earth. By the use of mathematics, Newton did not only explain the movements of objects and planets but he also explained how gravity worked, thus his laws of gravity.
  • Cavendish Theory

Cavendish found the accurate value for the gravitational constant with the use of Newton’s math. Not changing Newtons Theory much other than making it more accurate.
  • Einstein's Theory

Einstein's Theory was that gravity is not a force but a curve in space-time.
