    Poverty was a huge factor in food in this time because no one had the money to buy food which then led to malnutrition. The infants were being effected huge by infant mortality at round 220 per 1000 infants. In 1900 was also the development of flour bleaching agent, canned baked beans, pasteurization, etc.

    In 1920 the stock market occurred which led to people not having enough money to afford food. That means that the diet of the working class was very poor. In this time period milf was promoted to children. Lastly, the development of vitamins such as vitamin A and D were added to margarine.

    The 1940s had a ton of war going on which led to war time rationing on food. National Milk Scheme was created in 1941 along with the establishment of National Health Service. Finally the policy to increase agriculture output was added.

    In the 1960s 23% of Americans had a refrigerator in their homes which helped have a more variety of foods. Along with new/more food started the competition and intensify of prices for food. Also the development of instant mash potatos. Chorelywood bread process,etc.

    The food act and food label regulations occurred in 1984. Along with new diet and cardiovascular disease links and lastly food barcodes, plastic packaging, and nutritonal labeling.

    In 1990 the food safety act happened, the health of nation published, and costumers finally started being concerned with the enviroment. Two more things that occurred were retail and processing food golablized and the organic and genetically motified food growed.
