If the car is damaged beyond repair, it can be used for scape. Either by taking usable parts from it to use in another car. Or by scraping the metal to be used for someone else, most likely raw materials for new car parts.

Materials used in broken cars, mostly metal. Are broken down to the raw material, and formed into new parts for a new car. Thus starting the cycle of a car all over again.
