Douglas A4 Skyhawk - The purpose was to fulfill the US Navys call for a jet powered attack aircraft to replace the Douglas AD Skyraider.
Douglas executed the project. The A4 Skyhawk is unique because it has a takeoff weight of 24,500 pounds and a top speed of 670 miles per hour, unique to this aircraft. It is temporary because production halted in 1979 and was later decommissioned from service. The USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier (CVN-65) project
The creation of warship/aircraft carrier to be used and controlled by the US Navy. Its main purpose is serving as an ocean-base, enabling flight deck facilities for deploying, landing, carrying, arming, and recovering US aircraft.
