    In the 1970s David Bloor and his Colleagues came up with their own branch of sociology at Edinburgh School of Sociology which carried on into the early 1980s. what the Strong Programme entails is the explanation of science in the sociology sense by explaining all scientific beliefs to the same standard and with the same kind of explanations. The Strong programme is broken into 4 parts. Each part providing a foundation to treat social concepts with fairness whether true or false.

STS is the study of how all human concepts lead or affect scientific research or technological advances and then these same new advances shape our culture, society, and politics.

Bloore released a 2nd edition of the book responding to critics and reviews. Bloor’s book and ideas were very influential to the world of sociology and launched new branches of sociology.
