    The Daily Cardinal was founded by the UW-Madison's first journalism student, William Wesley Young. The first publication of the newspaper was available for students April 4, 1892.

    Cardinal Closes it's Doors.

    In 1995 the newspaper's printing was shut down for 7 months due to financial issues.
  • The Digital Daily Cardinal

    The Digital Daily Cardinal

    The Daily Cardinal announced it would move to publish online as well as print in the Spring semester.
