  • The First Cases

    The First Cases
The first case of coronavirus (now known as Covid-19), were recorded in China's Hubei province in the city of Wuhan. The first cases were reported as 'unusual pneumonia-like symptoms.' It wasn't until January, during the week of January 6 - 12th, that officials from the WHO, declared the symptoms as a new virus from the coronavirus-family, which include SARS, and the common cold. This was also the week that the 1st person, a 61 year old man, had died from Covid-19.
  • Rapid Transmission

    Rapid Transmission
Transmission of Covid-19 has exponentially grown. Within the first few weeks of January and into February, countries like Canada, the United States, Australia, the UAE, Singapore, and many other countries. This was also the month where China had single-handedly brought more cases & deaths of Covid-19 then from the SARS outbreak in 2002/2003. This is mostly due to community transmission. Community transmission is the transmission of a virus in a community where it can not be reported as fast.
  • Quarantine and Lockdown

    Quarantine and Lockdown
During the month of March, it has brought a lot of countries to enforce a lock down or quarantine. Countries like China, Italy, the United Kingdom, New York State, California, have issued lockdowns for people to stay home. Countries like Canada on the other hand, do request people to stay home, but aren't enforcing a full-on lockdown.
