  • 1933

    Hitler became Chancellow allowing him to have political power and influence.
  • 1934

    President Hidenberg died allowing Hitler to take over being President and now had even more power than before. He also gained power over the German army.
  • 1936

    Hitler took advantage of the fact that the Frech did not want to start another war soon and invaded Rhinaland. Germany also became allies with Italy and Japan.
  • 1938

    Hitler re-claimed land taken from them for the Treaty of Versailles and took over a part of Czechoslovakia in a joint declaration that Germany would not take over the rest of Czechoslovakia
  • 1939

    Hitler broke the declaration but Britain and France did nothing. They just warned Germany that if they invaded Poland that they would declare war. Germany then made an agreement with the Soviet Union and took over half of Poland while the Soviet took over the other. Britain and France declared war with Germany

    The Vietnam War

    During World War 2, Vietnam was overrun by the Japanese. When the Japanese left, the people of Vietnam took the opportunity to build their own government lead and this was lead by Ho Chi Minh. At the end of the war, South Vietnam was to the French while the north was in the hands of the non-communist Chinese. The Chinese treated the North Vietnamese very badly and support for Ho Chi Minh.
