    The first working IC (integrated circuit) was developed by Robert Noyce of Fairchild Semiconductor and Jack Kilby of Texas Instruments. The first IC was demonstrated. (Geoffrey Dummer is credited as the first person to conceptualize and build a prototype of the integrated circuit.)
