iRobot ROOMBA!
Introduced in 2002, the Roomba was the first automated vacuum product available. It was created by a team of 8 people after iRobot was founded by Colin Angle, Helen Greiner and Rodney Brook. The Roomba has since evolved into a powerful home tool still used today. Link text -
World of Warcraft MMORPG
In 2004, Blizzard Entertainment released World of Warcraft MMORPG, allowing the world to connect online to play. By 2008, it was the most subscribed MMORPG. The name Warcraft was decided by Sam Didier. Link text -
Amazon Cloud Based Services
Beginning with a discussion at a company retreat, the idea to be able to run all kinds of data from the same platform began and by 2006 the first version of cloud storage for Amazon was created. This later grew into AWS that we see today. My current job uses this! This was created by Andy Jassy, Jeff Bezos and numerous other members of the Amazon team. Link text -
MacBook Air
This ultra thin laptop was boasted with a 13.3 inch screen and was at the time, the thinnest laptop in the world. It was also the first MacBook to offer a solid state drive as an optional purchase. It was created by Apple and introduced by Steve Jobs at the Macworld conference. Link text
