Coca Cola bottling begins
In 1899, the rights to bottle Coca Cola products was sold, and Nashville became the first city in the world to bottle coca cola products for sale in stores. At this time, Coca-Cola products were packaged in glass bottles. -

First Automated Fountain
In 1933, Coca-Cola introduced the first automated fountain machine, in which coca cola could be dispnsed into cups. This allowed for more convienient consumption of the product. -
First Paper Cups
In 1941, Coca-Cola introduced the first paper cups with it's brand. These paper cups were used with fountains. They were less expensive than glasses, and were disposible. -
African Americans
In 1955, Coca-Cola began to include African Americans in their commercial items in order to expand their target market. -

In 1960, Coca-Cola introduced the can. The can was 12 ounces and was made out of steel, unlike today's cans which are made of aluminum. -
