  • Coca Cola bottling begins

    In 1899, the rights to bottle Coca Cola products was sold, and Nashville became the first city in the world to bottle coca cola products for sale in stores. At this time, Coca-Cola products were packaged in glass bottles.
  • International Bottling

    In 1912, Coca-Cola began bottling operations in the Philippines. This was the first international buisness of Coca Cola
  • Universal Glass Bottle

    The root glass comapny signs a contract with Coca-Cola. The Root Glass company then is in charge of creating the bottles, in which coke products were bottled in.
  • Bottling Operations begin in Guam

    The Coca Cola begins bottling their beverage in Guam
  • First Automated Fountain

    In 1933, Coca-Cola introduced the first automated fountain machine, in which coca cola could be dispnsed into cups. This allowed for more convienient consumption of the product.
  • First Paper Cups

    In 1941, Coca-Cola introduced the first paper cups with it's brand. These paper cups were used with fountains. They were less expensive than glasses, and were disposible.
  • African Americans

    In 1955, Coca-Cola began to include African Americans in their commercial items in order to expand their target market.

    In 1960, Coca-Cola introduced the can. The can was 12 ounces and was made out of steel, unlike today's cans which are made of aluminum.

    In 1963, Coca-Cola introduced it's first diet drink, known as TaB. The object was the same as the object of Diet coke. The goal was to appeal to a larger female market.

    Coca Cola made it's first entry into the market for atheletes with the introduction of Olympade. The packaging even included the olympic rings.

    In 2005, Coca Cola came out with the aluminum bottle, to be used at night clubs and for special events.
