Clara Barton was born in Oxford, Massachusetts.

At age 11 Clara's brother, David, comes home injured from battle and from there Clara heals him.

Clara begins teaching at age 15.

At age 33 years old, Clara quits teaching and decides to persue her career in healing.

Clara decides to heal wounded soldiers who faught in the Civil War.

During the battle of Bull Run, Clara runs out of healing supplies and sends puts an add in the newspaper asking for donations.

Clara spent the rest of her time during the war healing ill soldiers.

A couple years after the Civil War Clara went on vaction in Europe and found herself joing the Red Cross.

After recieving the Iron Cross of Merit, C;ara returns home.

In 1881 Clara was able to build a Red Cross society a block from the White House with donated money.

Clara travels to Galveston, Texas and helps with food control for 7.

After her hard work in Texas Clara then resigns and travels home.

Clara died in Glen Echo, Maryland, in 1912.
