Union won the battle. After battle Confederacy was split in half.

Battle of Fredericksburg

Union lost many troops during the battle. Confederate win.

Battle of the Wilderness

May 7, 1864

Union and Confederacy lost a bunch of troops. Winner could not be determined.

Sherman's March

Dec 21, 1864

William Tecumseh Sherman and the Union marched from Atlanta to Savanna destroying property and Confederate economy. Great for the Union.

End of Civil War

Apr 9, 1865

Robert E. Lee surrendered. This ended the Civil War.

Lincoln Assassinated

Apr 14, 1865

Abraham Lincoln shot by John Wilkes Booth in Ford's Theatre. He shortly died after.

13th Amendment Passed

Dec 18, 1865

Did not allow slavery, or forcing someone to serve you. Abolished slavery in US.
