McCandless arrives in Topock, Arizona and purchases he buys a used canoe and canoes on the Colorado River "alex looks quickly around for signs of trouble" (krakauer) -

After Canoing down the Colorado River, he reaches the Mexican border and crosses it under Morelos Dam "But his entry of mexico is either unnoticed or ignored. Alexander is jubilant!" -

McCandless abondons his canoe at at El Golfo de Santa Clara and starts heading north "he had not seen or talked to another soul in 36 days" -
Los Angeles
McCandless head to Los Angeles to obtain and I.D. "can this be the same alex that set out on July, 1990? malnutrition and the road have taken their toll on his body. Over 25 pounds lost. But his spirit is soaring" -
Las Vegas
He goes to Las Vegas where he gets a job working at a resturant "Alexander ubrried his backpack in the dester on 2/27 and entered Las Vegas with no money and no ID" -
Costal Oregon
McCandless stays on the coast from July through August "the fog and rain were often intolerable" -
Bullhead City, Arizona
When McCandless is in Bullhead City he gets a job working at McDonalds and also stays with an old man named Charlie "Its a good place to spend the winter and i might fianlly settle down and abandom the tramping life, for good" -
Grand Junction, Colorado
A man named Franz drops of McCandless in the Grand Junction of Colorado " Even when he was sleeping, I was happy just knowing that he was there.” (Krakauer 55) -

McCandless begins to travel north "he took a snapshot marking the official start of the alaskan highway" -

McCandless finds a bus near the Sushana River and stays there for a while "he decided to lay over for a while in the vehicle and take advantage of its crude comforts" -
McCandless Dies
McCandless dies from starvation, the reason for this is because he ate a deadly plant by mistake
