The Ancient Chinese started to create safer ships with water tight, compartments using caulk. If a leak were to occur in one compartment, it would be isolated in only that area.

The ancient Chinese took the idea of paddle boats and created something better. They arranged paddles in a wheel formation and walked on a treadmill like object to allow the wheels to move the paddles through the water and make the boat go forward.

The chinese made bridges on an arch. However, instead of a semi circle, they created a partial circle. This is because these bridges used up less materails and ere stronger.

This type of printing was called woodblock printing. The printer drew symbols on the paper, the paper was then glued to a wood block. After the glue dried, the printer carved the wood around the characters, leaving teh wood with a symbol.
