1-3 day
During the begging stages of decomposition precisely 1-3 days after death the enzymes start to eat themselves in order to break down the body. Which is called autolysis. Factors effecting may include but arent limited to the fact of the chicken being clothed as well as the temp that day being 69F. First fly was seen on the dead chicken this day as well. -
4th day
Temperature was 58.5 F windy and chilly . The smell emerged on this day due to begging processes of putrefaction which is the decomp from bacteria and microorganisms. Skin was also begging to discolor as well as bloat. -
5th day
Temperature that day was 61F with full sun and very humid. During this stage of decomp the chicken has numerous insects including flys, ants, and maggots. The skin was tough but the inside was mushy. -
6th day
Temperature was 69F and sunny, flora and fauna surrounding the chicken was muddy with a dead looking circle underneath the chicken. Slippage already occurred and the skin was tough, discolored, and bloated. -
8th day (weekend)
Temperature that day was 60F with full sun and over the weekend when no data was collected it had rained. Here depicts active decay which can be understood because of the fluids excreting from the chicken. Some internal things in the chicken liquefy causing fluids to be released. -
9th day
Temperature was 65F and sunny/warm. This pic really shows the effect the chicken had on the surrounding flora and fauna the decomposition of the chicken seemed to expand to the surrounding area. -
10th day
Temperature this day was 50F and chilly. On this day a maggot mass appeared where L1,2,and 3 stages of maggots were collected. With the maggot mass increasing the decomp process. The other chicken sites chicken had no maggot mass as ours did concluding that our chicken suffered harsher environmental factors causing it to speed up. The other sites chicken did has the same coloration as ours and the liquid seeping out. -
Victim Backstory on how died
Cane S. was the name of the victim who was murdered when walking down 51st in downtown New York after eating out with his family for his birthday dinner. Cane was a popular figure head at the time with him being the creator of chicken express and known extensively for his huge wealth. While walking it is suspected that he was recognized because his wallet, watch, and phone were gone upon arrival. Cane was sub-sequentially shot two times, and thrown in a landfill only to be found 3 day later. -
Crime scene
When discovered Cane was positioned in a fetal position with two bullet holes both in his stomach. Considering the position of the bullet holes and the time he left the restaurant he was likely still alive when dumped in the landfill. When found he had been dead three day and was severely bloated and discoloration was occurring. With the temperature being the highest during those three days he already had maggots in his eyes and ears. May he rest in peace.
