Many people who are working towards solving the problem are still not quite sure how many have died, or been affected by the radiation. The main topic that was talked about at this conference was how they can reduce radiation risks. They were specifically looking into technology, and how they could possibly invent something to help reduce, or prevent radiation from spreading.
