    President George Washington issued the first regular veto on April 5, 1792. The bill that he vetoed was the Apportion Act of 1776. This bill proposed that Congress should have a new plan to divide the House of Representatives.

    The Supreme Court Case Marbury v. Madison was the first Supreme Court Case ruled as unconstitutional. The Marbury v. Madison case granted the Judicial branch a specific power. This concept is known as Judicial Review. Judicial review gives federal courts and the Supreme court the authority to declare legislative and executive acts unconstitutional.

    The first successful congressional override occurred on March 3, 1845, when Congress overrode President John Tyler’s veto of S. 66.
    The tenth president vetoed a bill that "The legislation barred the president from authorizing the building of Coast Guard ships without prior congressional approval". Congress disagreed and successfully received a 2/3rds vote.

    The 17th President, Andrew Johnson was ordered to be impeached by the House of Representatives and brought to trial by Senate. Congress indicated Andrew Johnson guilty of "high crimes and misdemeanors" and was the first federal official to be impeached from office.

    The New Deal was used to create relief from the Great Depression and reformation of the governments' involvement with the people. The New Deal is a revolutionary presidential accomplishment. The New Deal was proposed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and saved millions of Americans' lives. This is thanks to Congress passing the bill that allowed all of the programs and projects to begin.

The Vietnamese people were suffering and suffered for longer than they should have. President Richard Nixon was at fault for the extension of the Vietnamese war for the political push because he promised to end the war.
