    Congratulations! It's A Boy!
Who would have known that 210 years ago, there would have been the birth of a very important boy. His future discovery would become the very foundation for modern evolutionary studies. On February 12, 1809 Charles Robert Darwin was brought into this world in his family home in Shrewsbury, England. Darwin was one of six kids with a family history of scientists. Darwins father was a Doctor of medicine and his grandfather was a renowned botanist. Little did Darwin know that he would too contribute.

BON VOYAGE! The HMS Beagle Departs for Sea.
160 years ago on the day that I was born, Darwin set sail on the HMS Beagle. This 5 year voyage was instrumental in Darwins findings in his theory of Evolution. He could contribute his theory to the Pacific Islands and the Galapagos Archipelago. Through hands on research he gathered information and items such as bird, plant, and fossil specimens that unbeknownst to him, played a key role in his upcoming theory.

    Publishings in the Works
When Darwin reached home in 1836, he immediately started to layout all of his findings from his trip. Darwin was most intruiged by the 13 varieties of Finches he had studied. It was because of these birds that he came to the consensus of adaptive radiation and later published his theory of Evolution by Natural selection in 1838. He alleged that within time "could account for the patterns of variation of species he studied and that those best adapted to the habitat were more likely to survive."

    Marking his step in History.
With 20 more years of extensive research and additional publishings, Darwin took a massive leap in science and society by publishing Origins of Species by Natural Selection. This discussed his stance on the theory of Evolution which is the process by which all living things are thought to have progressed and diversified from earlier forms of Earth's history. https://www.biography.com/video/charles-darwin-the-shocking-book-2080047729

    Darwinism
Thomas Henry Huxley, a Biologist, coined the term "Darwinism." This was used to describe a wide range of concepts of evolution or development.

    Death Meets Us All
In his family home in Kent, England Charles Darwin died just of a heart attack. He was survived by his wife Emma Wedgewood and 10 children. He is burried in Westminster Abbey London, England; which is one of the worlds most famous religious buildings. Darwin stood by his very beliefs to the end of his days. He once stated "A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life." It is safe to say that Darwin discovered his value and indefinitely left his mark in life.

    Supporting Darwinism

Origin of Species by Natural Selection has created much controversy for over a century since the initial publishing. This very theory challenged the idea of creationism in which all things come from God. Many critics through the years studied his works and provided scientific evidence through DNA studies.
  • Summary

    Summary
Through observation of birds, plants and fossils Darwin noticed similarities among species all over the globe connecting to the idea that we have evolved over the many years from prior species. Darwins Theory of Evolution declared that species survived through a process of "Natural Selection" which in turn supports the saying, 'Survival of the Fittest.' This later became known as Darwinism.
