    Born on February 12th, 1809 in the Mount House, Shrewsbury, UK. Darwin was the second youngest of six kids. His father, Dr. R.W. Darwin, was a medical doctor, and his grandfather, Dr. Erasmus Darwin was a Botanist, unfortunately for his mother, she passed away when Charles was 8. Because of Charles father and grandfather, Charles had a life full of science and became a naturalist, and biologist. He is highly known for his theory of evolution and the process of natural selection

    Darwin's father wanted him to become a doctor, so in 1825 Darwin started going to Edinburgh Medical School. However, he left after only two years, in 1827, due to the sight of blood. Darwin father In 1828 made Darwin go to Cambridge University to study for priesthood, earning a bachelor of arts degree at Cambridge University in 1831. His interest for rocks, and the outdoors grew so much that botanist John Henslow recommended Darwin to tag along in the HMS Beagle voyage.

    Voyage on the HMS Beagle
    Darwin was part of the HMS Beagle voyage around the world. Over the 5 year trip, Darwin collected a variety of natural specimens, including birds, plants and fossils. Through his research and experimentation, he was able observe principles of botany, geology and zoology. Darwin was truly fascinated with the Pacific Islands and Galapagos Archipelago. Due to this trip, it led to information that changed our mindset of evolution.

    Charles Darwin finally published his book after 20 years of waiting. His theory of evolution started in the1830s, but due to the church belief and other scientist fate like Copernicus and Galileo, he was afraid of publishing the book, this became known as Darwin Delay. Darwin's book is considered to be the foundation of evolutionary biology.

    On April 19, 1882, Charles Darwin died due to heart failure at his family home, Down House, in London. He was buried at Westminster Abbey. Darwin devoted his life to research, he became a widely know biologist, and his contributions to the science of evolution. Darwin left his mark on this world, he was believed to be one of the many greatest scientist ever.
