    Voyage of the Beagle

    The HMS Beagle launched its voyage around the world. The purpose of this voyage was for him to try to map out the region by traveling the coastline of South America.
    Darwin spent much of the trip on land studying botany, geology and zoology and collecting samples of plants, animals, rocks, and fossils. He explored different parts of Argentina, Chile, and Brazil including remote islands. He packed all of his specimens into crates and sent them back to England aboard other vessels.
  • Wrote Journal of Researches

    This Journal went into the history and geology of the various countries visited by H.M.S. Beagle and further led to his interest in natural selection. This journal was later edited and called the Voyage of the Beagle.

  • Publishes the Origin of Species

    This book went over Natural Selection. This book focused on the multiple groups of animals and how they evolve from one or a few common ancestors. It also discussed the evolution that takes place is during this process which is referred to the natural selection.

    This book discusses the human race and the selection of humans based on the sexual attraction
  • Expression of the Emotions published

    The book was written based on the ability to read facial expression. He was started reading facial expressions early in life with the first being his first child who was born on in 1839. Afterward he was sure, the most complex and fine shades of expression must all have had a gradual and natural origin.

    The Formation of Vegetable Mould Through the Action of Worms goes over the thoughts of revived earthworms and studying of their habits.
  • Darwin Passes

    Darwin documented multiple issues in his journal after getting back from the voyage. He was experiencing frequent vomiting, boils, insomnia, headaches, severe gastrointestinal pain and the list goes on. These issue were never addressed but it said he died from an heart attack.
