Beagle VoyageCharles Darwin set sail aboard the beagle for a voyage to survey the South American region. He spent a total of 18 months on the ship and the rest of the 5 years exploring nearby lands like the Brazilian jungle and Andes mountains.
Evolution via Natural SelectionAfter Darwin visited the Galapagos islands he began to research them and realized the animals there had evolved to survive in their current habitats. These animals were originally believed to be their own species but after studying. He realized they were the same animals that had evolved and adapted to their environment.
