    Charles Darwin Begins School
    In 1817, Charles Darwin attended a day school until 1818, once he was sent to a boarding school. Darwin's father enrolled Charles at the University of Endinburg when he was 16. after two years, Darwin dropped out because of the boring lectures and prepared for clergy and Cambridge University. he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1831.

    After Graduation, Darwin was invited on a trip with a Cambridge Professor named Adam Sedgwick to Whales along with John Henslow. Darwin travled to Whales and it was on this journey where his true love for science came out.     Charles Darwin received a letter from Captain Robert FitzRoy of the HMS Beagle. Captain FitzRoy wanted Darwin to acompany him to a two year research expidition. Darwin's old prefessor insisited that he went on the voyage, but his father found it to be inapropriate due to his backround of clergy and not science. Darwin declined the invitation and respected his fathers wishes. Darwin told his uncle the story and persuaded Darwin's father to let Charles accompany Captain FitzRoy on his journey.

Darwin observed the different plants, animals, weather patterns, rocks, and fosiils that he encountered along the way. by the end of his trip, he had over 2,000 pages of notes and jurnal entries he had written. these entries would later become published books for many to see.

    While in the Golapagos Isliands, Charles Darwin made a remarkable discovery. He noticed that animals with superior traits are more likely to produce more offspring. Darwin said that the traits could be passed down to future generations therefore the species of a certain animal is always adapting to its inviroment. Darwin called this Natural Selection.
