The British East India Company faced ruin so the Paraliamwnt decided to pass the Tea Act on May 10th 1773. Later that year however the East Indiana Company shipped Tea to colonial cities. On December 16th later that year a group of men disguised themselves as Mohawks who boarded the ships at midnight and threw 342 chests of Tea overboard.
