    The OSRD(Office of Scientific Research and Development) was created by FDR. This organization focused on radar and sonar to locate planes and submarines. They also worked on penicilin and pesticides.

    The U.S. defeated the Japanese at Midway Atoll. This was only 6 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
