    The Missouri Compromise is about Missouri finally coming out and saying, that they are a state of slavery. The South states started to be known as the slave states.

    The Fugitive Slave Act was about catching all slaves that ran away fro their plantations or escaped their master/owners.

    When people voted for whether they wanted slavery in their state or not.
  • Formation of the Republican Party

    Slacery was banned from most places. This caused there to be even more division between the Democrats and the Republicans.
  • Dred Scott Decision

    Dred Scott sued the U.S. for freedom and lost. He did this because he didn't like how he had to act and he restrictions just because he was black.

    Lincoln and Douglass compete against each other/campaign against each other.

    John Brown raided Harper's Ferry.
