    Ash Wednsday
    Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting. We as Catholic's go to Church and get ashes on our foreheads which are shown as crosses, to shown as forgiveness and repentment of sins.
  • Palm Sunday

    Palm Sunday
    The day Jesus enters Jerusalem by a donkey, and people leave palm leaves on the ground for Jesus to walk through.
  • Good Friday

    Good Friday
    Is a feast day to remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, his death and rising from te dead.
  • Easter

    Easter
    Also known as Resurrection Day. Is a celebration of Jesus Chirst returning from the dead. Commonly people would buy Easter eggs in the form of chocolate as a way to celebrate Easter. As an egg represents new life. Just as Jesus came back to life anew.

    Advent

    Is the first season of the Liturgical Year. Advent begings fours weeks before Christmas. To annouce that the the season is here, Catholics use an Advent Wreath, that has four candles, three purple, one pink. Although the main symbolism of the advent wreath is simply marking the progression of time, it also shows a particluar theme to each candle, most often hope, faith, joy, and love. The Liturgical colour is either violet and purple.

    Christmas
    The birth of Jesus Christ, Son of God. We celebrate Christmas through going to church, giving presents and gathering with loved ones. As when Jesus was born he recived gifts from the Three Kings, therefore the idea of presents came into Christmas.
