    The California Buildings Standards Commission (BSC) is established through the California Buildings Standards Law.

  • Warren-Alquist State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Act passed

    Created California Energy Commission, and allowed state agencies to adopt and publish building standards in the California Code of Regulations.

  • SB 331 creates Title 24

    SB 331 is passed, and states that the Building Commission must review all regulations adopted by state agencies to ensure they comply with the Health and Safety Code. All building standards are combined into a single code, Title 24, overeseen by the Commission.
