There is a boy and he is a orphan. His mother has passed an he carries some of her belongings around with him. He finds a flyer that speaks of a musician that Bud believes is his father. In the story it says "Herman e. Calloway". -
Bud's New Home
Bud goes and stays with his foster family the Amos's. Bud and Todd got into a fight and Bud got blamed for it. For Bud doing that he had to go in the shed. "Mr. Amos will show you to the shed tonight and you can come back tomorrow for breakfast before you go. -
The Train
Bud was on the way to catch the train but there were jut to many people. Bud's friend Bugs( a boy from the home) just jumped on the train but Bud.... missed it. "There were a million men and boys running in the same direction" -
Metting Mr. Lewis
Bud then met this man named Mr. Lewis on his way to Grand Rapids. And Mr. Lewis gave bud a ride ."I was glad I was getting a ride."
