The Boston University Medical Center is awarded a grant from Nationa Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to build a biocontainment laboratory. This lab is one of only two in the country. BU hopes the construction of this lab will advance the New England region to a higher level of research credibility and hopefully turn it into a hub for groundbreaking medical research.
