Charles Rasp, a boundary rider on Mt Gipps sheep station, believe he has dicovered tin on the 'Broken Hill' in the Barrier Ranges in western NSW. The Broken Hill Mining Company is established by 7 men from the Mt Gipps sheep station

The Broken Hill Mining Company is Dissolved and incorparated into Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited
