Day 1
Leave for cabin. Check 5 baits. Waiting for Chet and Cindy to arrive. -
Day 2
Check the rest of the baits. Set up two tree stand. Sit first night and see chocolate cub. No shot. -
Day 3
Split up with Dad, Devon and Jay to check all baits except Lookout. Good weather! Cindy shows up and decides to sit with me at Mcbride. Black bear comes in at 8:20. Make a good shot. Devon and Jay get first bears that night. Jay's quad breaks down. Chet shows up and is amazed at first every triple play!! -
Day 4
Check all baits in the morning. I sit with dad at night. See a 3 year old black bear come in, very entertaining and not shy. We name hime "Rolie Polie Olie". Before dark a 3 legged bear comes in. CIndy shoots her bear at a different stand. Chet saw bears, devon was video taping. Jay stayed in camp. -
Day 5
Rain :( Not a fun day to check baits. I sit with Jay and 2 year old bear comes in. No one kills that night. -
Day 6
Thursday! starting to run out of time. I sit with chet to videotape, nothing comes in :( No one kills that night. Practice bow but too windy. -
Day 7
Friday! Decide to let chet and dad sit by themselves. Cindy, Jay, Devon and I go fishing. Catch 3 suckers :) Dad shoots black bear -
Day 8
Last day to sit. Pull all barrels. Chet sits and sees blonde bear. No shot. The rest of us go fishing Dad and Cindy both catch suckers. -
Day 9
Last day. Get up in the morning and pack up and go home. Sad to go. Will be back next year
