Thomas and Martha Wayne are killed in Crime Alley by Joe Chill. -
Bruce Wayne decides to fight crime, leaving Gotham City to train and reach peak physical condition. -
Bruce returns to Gotham after 8 years of absence. He was thought dead. -
A mysterious figure dressed as a bat prevents a mugging in Crime Alley. -
Basil Karlo becomes Clayface. This follows his original origin, in regards to how he gets his powers. He attempts to hide his new powers and return to acting, but an accident with a set piece that is mostly Basil's fault ends up killing his co-star. He escapes with help from his powers, however. -
Batman hears about the incident and tracks down Basil to his mansion. Karlo believes Batman is here to kill him, and attacks. After a difficult battle, Basil is defeated. -
Nora Fries, Victor's wife, falls ill with a deadly disease, and Victor becomes obsessed with figuring out how to temporarily freeze her so he can find a cure. He is a cryogenics scientist at Wayne Indsustries. -
Batman, arriving at a warehouse at Gotham Docks to take down some of Sal Maroni's men, finds one of them dead with a vial of pale orange liquid shattered on the ground next to him. -
James Gordon is promoted to Lieutenant, much to Loeb's chagrin. He attempts to start cleaning up the GCPD, ending corruption. -
Arkham Asylum is reopened under order of Mayor Aubrey James. Jonathon Crane is hired there as head psychiatrist. -
Batman notices that many sane criminals from Blackgate are being transferred to Arkham Asylum. -
Jim Gordon and Batman meet, and start a tentative secret alliance. -
Dcotor Death appears. He had been kidnapping people and expirmenting on them, using a serum designed to eliminate human weakness. The serum had almost always failed, and Karl has multiple malformations as a result of testing the serum on himself. -
Crane begins expirimenting on his patients with fear toxin. The effects are not strong enough, however, and he kills a patient in a fit of anger. -
Aubrey James, Mayor of Gotham, is assassinated. -
After 2 months of searching, Batman finally pinpoints Dr. Death. He chases him down and defeats him, sending him to Arkham. -
Bruce, needing someone to build gear for him, approaches Fox, a long time family friend and employee at Wayne Enterprises. He agrees, and joins the Batfam. Currently consisting of: Batman, Alfred and Lucius. -
Scarecrow, not happy with the limited test subjects in Arkham, releases the fear toxin drug onto the streets. At least 130 people die from the drug. -
Batman is able to trace the fear drug back to Arkham Asylum. Being the main funder of Arkham, Bruce does an inspection and takes a tour with Warden Jeremiah Arkham and Psychiatrist Crane. He takes note of a chemistry set in Crane's office. -
Lucius Fox has designed a device that picks up traces of the fear drug, and gives it to Batman. Batman sneaks into Arkham and picks up traces of the drug in Cranes office. But before he can finish investigating a security guard interrupts. -
The police gain evidence from an anonymous source (Batman) about Cranes crimes. The police go to arrest him, but he has taken control of Arkham Asylum. He killed Jeremiah Arkham, and released his new fear gas through the vents. The inmates were held hostage for 6 days, until Batman managed to get inside and take down Scarecrow.

Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle meet at a party that Bruce is hosting. They hit it off fairly well. -
End of Year One -
After a cryogenics experiment goes wrong, Victor Fries is frozen. Miraculously, he survived. But he has to live in temperatures below freezing. He designs a suit for himself to survive. -
Mr. Freeze breaks into Gotham General to take Nora and freeze her. He fails, and is arrested by the GCPD. -
Selina sets off a silent alarm Batman had set up. She's nearly caught, but escapes. -
Mr. Zsasz appears and starts killing. -

When Bruce left Gotham to train, Molly Mathis took over Wayne Enterprises. The company, now doing illegal business deals with criminals like the Falcones, is corrupt. -
When going to his office at Wayne Enterprises, Bruce is attacked in the elevator with a wire. He overpowers the other man and contacts the authorities. -
After the police and Batman are both unable to catch Zsasz, they agree to help each other. However, Commissioner Loeb is far from happy about this. -
Victor Zsasz is tracked to the outskirts of Gotham, where he is shot by an officer. He dies from his wounds. -
One night, when Bruce returns home after a night of crime fighting, Alfred is no where to be found. There are signs of a struggle. He gets a call , saying; "Step down from CEO of Wayne Enterprises, and stop meddling in our affairs. If you do not, you will never see your butler again." -
Bruce locates Alfred and attempts to save him. He almost fails, but they both make it out alive. -
Bruce contacts the police about Alfred's kidnapping, and with enough evidence Mathis is arrested. -
Victor receives a letter from Nora, saying that she only has a few more weeks to live. He begins a plan to break out. -
Victor broke out of his cell, barely making it to the evidence room before passing out from the heat. He busted out of Arkham, freezing two guards. He takes Nora, now at home, to a warehouse; set up with a cryogenics chamber. He places her in the chamber, putting her in a frozen stasis until he can find a cure.
