  • Galapagos Finches Paper

During Charles Darwin's time on the Galapagos Islands, he collected different finch specimens that would play a significant role in his future work. To Darwin's knowledge, the samples that were collected were from three different birds. However, it was determined the specimens consisted of 12 species of finches instead. It further influenced the development of his theory of evolution through natural selection.
