    The philosopher known as Auguste Comte was born in Montpellier, France, on 19 January 1798. He was educated at Montpellier University and Polytechnic Institute. Until graduating he left both of them. He divorced his 17-year-old wife and was dismissed at the Ecole Polytechnique from his work. Comte was involved with Clotilde de Vaux in a plutonic but loving relationship that died within 2 years of meeting. He died in Paris on September 5, 1857.     Comte earned the titles of first being the science philosopher and the founder of sociology. He is renowned for numerous sociological ideals and works but 3 stand out for me.     Second work is The Three Stages Law. He'd been interested in post French Revolution human and social behavior. By going through 3 behaviors which are philosophical stage, metaphysical stage and optimistic stage, he saw society seeking reality. He thought that people, including culture, began with less reasoning and developed into thinking based on facts learned from contributors to the Wikipedia knowledge.     The third work, he developed a religion called Humanity's Religion. It idealized women's role in a positivist society that he intended to create.
