Atomic Timeline

  • 500 BCE

    The alchemists

The Alchemists played a key role in the atomic timeline. The Alchemists laid out the foundation of periodic tables. They produced the most basic ideas and thoughts of the atomic theory.
  • 440 BCE

    Plato

Plato's place on the timeline centers around the idea of what an atom looks like. Plato used geographical shapes to begin the structure theory of what the atom is.
  • 360 BCE
