JJ Thomson

Ernest Rutherford
He was credited the first person to "split the atom" in 1917 in a nuclear reaction between nitrogen and alpha particles, in which he also discovered the proton this was helped by his gold foil experament and is refered to as the father of nuclear physics and found that the proton and the nucleus have charged particles -
James Chadwick
James was one of the first people to find the neutron and by discovering this he gave the government the idea for the first atomic bomb because of the MUAD committee.
His calculations using Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle showed it was not possible for electrons to be contained in the nucleus. -
Enrico Fermi
Enrico is most famous for his work on creating the first nuclear reactor and for his discovery of what he called the data decay for which the proton turned into the neutron while inside the nucleus.
