    Democritus Discovers "Atomos" (460 - 370 B.C.)

    Democritus Discovers "Atomos" (460 - 370 B.C.)
Democritus was supposedly born in 460 B.C. and supposedly died in 370 B.C. Democritus lived in Abdera, Greece. Democritus was the one to discover Atoms somewhere within 460 - 370 B.C. In order to find out atoms were present and were uncuttable, He did a simple test, He took a seashell and kept crushing it until he couldn't get those tiny pieces into even tinier pieces. When Democritus was alive very few believed him at the time.
  • Dalton finds that all matter is made of Atoms

Dalton finds that all matter is made of Atoms
John Dalton was born on September 6, 1766, and died July 27, 1844. John found out that all matter is made up of Atoms in 1803. Dalton lived in Cumbria, England. Dalton made his discovery but fusing gases together and realizing they would repel this made him realized they behaved independently. When John was just twelve years old he would assist his older brother with teaching students. Also, Dalton was the youngest of his two siblings. As well as, his father was a shoemaker.
  • Thomson discovers the Electron

    Thomson discovers the Electron
J.J. Thomson was the Physicist that discovered the electron in 1898. J.J. Discovered the electron by experimenting with a cathode ray tube when he found the cathode rays had a negative charge. He lived from December 18, 1856 - August 30, 1940. He lived in Cheetham, Manchester. J.J. was given something for his contributions to the atom which was a Physics Nobel Peace Prize which was given to him back in 1906. Two years after J.J. won his peach prize he was actually knighted.
  • Rutherford finds a Nucleus inside the Atom.

Rutherford finds a Nucleus inside the Atom.
Ernest Rutherford was born on August 30, 1871, and died October 19, 1937. He lived in Spring Grove, New Zealand. Rutherford was the one that found out about the atomic nucleus in 1911. Rutherford conducted his experiment by shooting a beam through gold foil, any particles that were to bounce and come back were caused by hitting a nucleus. Rutherford later went on to be the University of Cambridge's first research student. After that, he got married and had a dozen children.
  • Bohr

    Bohr
Niels Bohr was born on October 7, 1885, and died on November 18, 1962. Bohr lived in Copenhagen, Denmark. Niels found that Electrons move in orbits around the nucleus in 1913. He discovered this by quantum actions, as well as the fact that he used electromagnet radiation on a single atom only had taken place any time an electron hopped to an orbit that was low energy. Shortly after these discoveries he had six sons and one later received a Nobel prize for physics.
  • Modern Cloud Model/Modern Model

    Modern Cloud Model/Modern Model
Erwin Schrodinger (1887 - 1961) and Werner Heisenberg (1901 - 1976). Erwin lived in Vienna, Austria. Werner lived in Würzburg, Germany. In 1926, Erwin did some math and found the chance of finding an electron in a specific location, Then later found out the wave equation for movements of electrons. In 1925 Werner showed the world how impossible it was to find out how fast and where something is.
