    Also known as American War of Independence. It was a war between he 13 colonies and Great Britain, but eventually became larger with France, Spain and Netherlands. The American army was greatly underestimated, and the group led by Washington was able to beat the British due to knowing their own land and having much easier access to weapons then the british. On Sep. 3 1783, the Treaty of Paris was signed ending the war.

The United States declared war on England because of the lasting tensions from the revolutionary war. The United states refused to trade with England. The Indians joined Englands fight because of Americas mistreatment of them. The war was fought in America and Canda. It resulted in neither side gaining or losing territory and fixed boundaries

    Battle of Little Bighorn
    In 1876 General Custer led a careless attack on the powerful Sioux leader Sitting Bull. Custer was outnumbered 3:1 because; he split his men into in half. The message wasn’t relayed across the troops and Custer advanced alone with only half of his troops. There they were brutally defeated and all his men died including him died. This is way this battle is commonly called Custer's last stand.

    Battle of Wounded Knee was one of the bloodiest battles of the Indian wars. The 7th Calvary in late December was attempting to round up three hundred hungry and freezing Sioux’s. A random shot was fired resulting in cannon fire by the 7th Calvary and all three hundred deaths of innocent Sioux Indians.

American attacks on Spain's Pacific possessions led to involvement in the Philippine Revolution and ultimately to the Philippine–American War.There was actually only a fw days of actual fighting. The U.S lost more lives to disease than in the actualy combat. Clara Barton was the leader of the important Red Cross.

The United States government annexed the philipines after they aquired the territory in the spanish-american war. The philipino revolutionaries lead by Emilio Aguinaldo wanted to gain independence from America as they had with Spain. The war lasted 3 years. The americans goal was to bring democracy to the philipines and the philipines goal was push away American imperialism and gain independence.

    America declared war on Germany and the central powers on April 2nd, 1917. The Lusitania sinking and The Zimmerman telegram forced America into war with Europe. As the US prepared for war, the selective service act was put into act and required all men ages 21-30 to apply into a draft and if chosen, would be sent to Europe and the War. America was a fresh body and came into the war against battered armies that had been already fighting for 3 years, and was why Germany surrendered Nov. 11, 1918.

The axis powers constisted of Italy, Germany, Austria, and Japan and the allies powers were France, Great Britian, Usa, and Russia. The axis powers had facisits governments nad the allied governments were mostly democratic. There was two main fronts the pacific islands and eruope. World war 2 ended 1945 after the USA dropped two Atomic bombs on Japan.

    On June 25, 1950, the Korean War began when some 75,000 soldiers from the North Korean People’s Army poured across the 38th parallel, the boundary between the Soviet-backed Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the north and the pro-Western Republic of Korea to the south. American officials were concerned, it was a war against the forces of international Communism. In July 1953 the war ended in a stalemate almost because the U.S didnt drive back the North vietnamese. but protected the South

The Vietnam War has become a benchmark for what not to do in all future U.S. foreign conflicts.

    After Iraq invaded its neighboring country of Kuwait because of its vast oil views, America responded quickly with 500,000 american toops to protect the oil fields imperative to American industries. The war was quickly resolved, and left only 148 Americans dead and thousands of Iraqi dead. Significant because it showed America woud use military force to pursue international problems.

    After congress blamed 9/11 tradegy on Al Queda, they gave President Bush the power to do whatever is necessary to project the nations secruity in October 2002. In 2003 the US officially started bombing Baghdad and saw victory ahead. A couple of years after Saddam Hussein fled his country, he was captured by American forced and tried under Iraqi judges for human-rights abused and hunged in December of 2006 after being found guilty on all accounts. Al Queda and America havent ended fighting since.
