    The aticles gave all the powers to the states, which in return weakened the central government. Due to the lack ofability to tax or create laws, it is no surprise that the states were definitely more powerful at this point in history.

    The Convention was the first official meeting to discuss the Constitution. This actually gave power tot he states because it brought the all together to discuss one common issue.

    The tenth amendment is about the expresed powers of the states. This boosts federal power because the topic of the tenth amendment is the principles of federalism.

    The supreme court used the necessary and proper clause to determine that the federal government could pass laws not expressed in the constitution. This boosted federal power because it gave the federal government extra powers.
