Old Major gives the speech explaining the dream of a rebellion against Mr. Jones. Unfortunately three nights later he dies in his sleep. He also introduced the tune "The Beasts of England".

The animals finally rebel against Mr. Jones and take over the Manor Farm. The farm is eventually renamed Animal Farm.

The pigs form the Ten Commandments. They include:
1. Whatever walks upon two legs is an enemy.
2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
3. No animal shall wear clothes.
4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.
5. No animal shall drink alcohol.
6. No animal shall kill any other animal.
7. All animals are equal. -
Mr. Jones attempted an attack on the Animal Famr in order o try to obtain the farm back. Although a sheep was killed, the battle was won by the animals.

Mollie the horse disappears but is later spotted at a neighboring farm. This the first time that an animal has left showing that not all animls are on the same page.

Snowball made an arguement to build a windmill but of course Napolean disagreed. This resulted with nine dogs chasing Snowball out the farm.

For the frist time, a commandment is changed. Instead of no animal shall sleep in a bed, it was changed to no animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets.

The windmill was finally complete! But unfortunately it was destroyed the previous night by an unkown cause. The blame immediately pointed towards Snowball.

Fredericks forces attack the Animal Farm after gicing the farm fake money in order to obtain timber. Many animals were killed in the battle yet the pigs still proclaimed it a victory.

Preparing to retire Boxer gave his last muscle performing a task for the well-being of the farm. in return the animals send Boxer to a slaugterhouse for his death.
