Andrew grew up in a jewish family and got scarlet fever at the age of 4. he almost died and had partial hearing loss. he and his mother evaded the labor camps during WW2 but his father was taken and thankfully returned after the war

Being poor in a new country, andrew met his future wife and started a job as a busboy but had a passion for learning and went to school as soon as he could

Andrew Grove attended his first college at City College Of New York. This is where he earned his bachelor's degree.

Andrew earned a Ph.D. in chemical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. This was his second college degree.

After earning his Ph.D., he worked at Fair child semiconductor as a reasercher which helped him have physical learning in the actual field rather than in a classroom. This was his first major job. In 1967, he became the assistant director of development in the company.

Andrew left fairchild to co-found Intel which failed at first but then made a deal with IBM to only use intel processors in all of their personal computers. Andrew became CEO of intel and helped it gain a 4,500% increase on market capitalization. Andrew became very successful after quite a rough start.

Grove got prostate cancer and decided to step down to a senior advisor for intel while giving lectures at Stanford University to this day.
