    The Boston Tea Party was one of the big events that made the Americans want to fight the British. One night, Sons of Liberty including Sam Adams dumped over 80 chests of Tea into the Boston Harbor to protest the Tea Act of 1773.

    Before this battle happened, Paul Revere went on his famous midnight ride to warn the minutemen about the British approaching. This was the first time in the Revolution that the minutemen would battle British forces.thus was a British victory.

    British General Howe had been trying to capture George Washington for a while, and at the Battle of the Brandywine, he almost did. Washington and Howe had a battle which the British won, but Washington still managed to escape.

    General Horatio Gates and his inexperienced men were marching South when they ran into the British forces. They had a battle, and the British ended up winning and getting all of the American's supplies after the men and Gates fled.

    The Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was signed to end the Revolutionary War. It promised America independence from Britain and gave America a huge chunk of land (doubling the size of the country), and it gave back fair and equal rights that were taken away in the acts passed by Britain.
