    Also known as the restraining acts, in England, were introduced in 1774 by the new government of Lord North. The purpose was to restore order in Massachusetts, following the boston tea party.

The patriots sent their militia to Bunker Hill after their spies heard that the British were going to try to attack Breeds Hill. The British gained control of Breeds Hill but lmany of their men died and many wounded.
