Declaration of Independence
This event signified our independence from Britain and the official beginning of the war. Over 50 brave individuals committed treason in sighing the Declaration of Independence.this gave the base to our government and structure to our military. Boost activity: This event can be compared to many many other independence claims of the time such as the Russian and Chinese civil wars. They both had many many deaths and where very important to the worlds history. -
The battle of Trenton
This battle marked a turning point for the war patriots had recently lost several battles. Having lost many men and moral down the patriots needed a win. So general Washington ordered a nighttime crossing of the Delaware to engage the opposing army while they where not ready. This was a success and no patriots died and they took 900 prisoners. Boost activity: if the patriots had not crossed the river and won they would of with out a doubt would of crumbled and lost the war. -
The treaty of Paris
This treaty marked the end of the revolutionary war.After the patriots sieged the city of Yorktown and the British got cut off by the French. Britain lobbied for a peace treaty because It was costly to continue the war. Boost activity:if the British had not sighed the peace treaty and ended the war.One of two events would of happened they either would of some how won the war but with crippling debt and much public distress most likely collapsing.The other way is we still won the war just later. -
Alliance with France
The French wanted revenge for the recent lose to the British. So after some patriot victory’s and convincing the French joined the war effort. This was crucial to the war effort they provided naval support and crucial supply’s. Boost activity:this event is very similar to when the u.s.a provided crucial support and troops to the French in ww1 and ww2. Both times the group getting help really needed it and would of collapsed with out it.
