French and Indian War
The war was started when France decided to expand over the Ohio River. The Indians were allied to both the British and french. The war lasted 9 years and gave the idea of independence to the colonist -
The Proclamation Of 1763
Colonists wanted to expand but England wouldn't let them expand past the Appalachian Mountains. For if they expanded they would need to be protected from the Indians. -

Along with many other acts is the Stamp act. This was a tax that was included on printed items such as papers, newspapers, letters, and other legal documents. -

An argument between a colonist and a British soldier that led to shots being fired, An African man by the name Crispus Atticus was killed along with five others. -

A tax that was applied to coffees and mainly tea. The colonist was strongly against many of these acts. -
Boston Tea Party
Since the colonist were strongly against the idea of the taxes being applied to so many things, especially tea. They decided to dress as Indians and sabotaged a whole shipment of tea. -
Battles of lexington and concord
British were sent to confiscate weapons from colonists. They were warned by Paul Revere, Samuel Prescott, and William Dawes. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
The colonist had run out of ammunition which caused them to retreat and forfeit that battle to the British. -
Battle of Trenton
Washington decided to attack Trenton in New Jersey. The battle was won by Washington and his men. -
Battle of Saratoga
This was a pivotal moment for colonists. They convinced France to side with them and help fight Britain. The British ended up surrendering. -
Valley Forge
When Washington arrived at Valley Forge it was around Christmas time. He was there to watch the British but while there his men were hit with a disease. -
Battle of Kings Mountain
The colonist charged at the British on a hillside. The colonel Ferguson tried to retreat but killed while trying to do so. -
Battle of Yorktown
The general for the British had ended up surrendering to the colonist and the colonist allies, the french. The general was so embarrassed that he didn't even show up in person to surrender. -

The founder father of this document was James Madison at the constitutional convention, It states the laws and basic rights for the people of the United States. -

The first 10 amendments to the constitution. It discusses peoples freedom and their liberty and rights to believe in things
