the war fought between Britain and the French and the Indians of North America. Most battles were in Canada. American colonists, including George Washington, fought with the British in this war, The British won the war and won the right to keep Canada and several other possessions in the New World -

The Boston Tea Party
70s rock song called The Boston Tea Party Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty organized the tea party in response to British parliament giving a tea monoply to the East India Company. They dressed as Mohawk indians, rushed the ship in the Boston harbor, and emptied all of its tea into the ocean. -
Battle of Bunker Hill---Logan Conn
Taken place around Breed's Hill in Massachusetts, the Battle of Bunker Hill was in the beginning of the Revolutionary War. The Americans, led by William Prescott and other leaders, suprised the British and slaughtered many of their men. They soon ran out of gunpowder and had to retreat. The British won the battle due to the American's lack of supplies -

At the Congress, they decided to completely break away from Great Britain. On May 15, 1776, they decided to officially put the colonies in a state of defense.

Declaration of Independence was formally approved by Congress(Taylor Bookout)
Even though the motion for the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 2, 1776, it was formally approved on July 4, 1776. This was our declaration to the King about all the bad things he did to us and the outrage at his tyrannical reign. -
The Battle of Trenton-The Crossing
The Crossing-Battle of Trenton George Washington underhandedly attacked the Hessians the day after Christmas, 1776, knowing they would be drunk and surprised. His troops raided Trenton and massacred the soldiers who were unable to fight back. -
The Battle of Saratoga
This battle was a major turning point in the war. Bergonyes army started in Montreal then Thinking he was going to be met by Howe's troops he went on to Fort Ticonderoga. Without Howe, Bergonye didnt have enough manpower or supplies to suceed. He surrendered to Gates. This was very important because it gained French aid.

General Cornwallis Surrenders at Yorktown (Alyssa Schochler)
With French aid, George Washington and his troops were able to surround Cornwallis and his 7,000 men, forcing them to surrender. -
