In 1492, the ninety men landed in the Bahamas. He also attempted the fastest route with his men to what he referred to as the "West Indies"

The Boston Tea Party was a political protest in 1773 that occurred in Boston, Province of Massachusetts Bay. To protest the British Perliments tax on tea. Colonists objected to the Tea Act because their rights as Englishmen were violated due to "No taxation without representation", which means they were only being taxed by their own representatives and not by a parliament that represented them.

It took nearly 100 years for the women's suffrage movement to accomplish the same equal rights as men. In 1869, Elizabeth Stanton and Susan B. Anthony created The National Woman Suffrage Association to fight for a universal suffrage amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Women fought for their beliefs of being more than a part of the "Cult of True Womanhood." After many hardships, women gained the right to vote by the 19th Amendment being passed on August 18, 1920.

In the 1830s, the mistreatment of the Native Americans began due to white settlers wanting to take "Indian territory". The Federal Government forced thousands of native Americans to flee their homelands because the white settlers wanted to grow cotton on Indian land. The "Five civilized tribes" were forced by the Indian Removal Act to hike over 5,000 miles long from the East of Mississippi to the West. This difficult and oftentimes deadly journey is known as the Trail of Tears.

In November 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected as the 16th president of the United States. In January 1863, he freed all of the enslaved people. But those in border states are still in bondage. The reason is to save the union, not to either save or destroy slavery. Eventually, the 13th amendment was passed after his death 1865, freeing ALL slaves.
