Constitutional Amendment -
The 14th Amendment gave equal rights, citizenship, and legal rights. This is for anyone born or/becomes a citizen of the country.

The 15th Amendment gave black males the right to vote. They could not be denied the right to vote just because of color or race.

This made it a law of ¨separate but equal¨. This meant that places could have separate facilities.

This was a white supremacy uprising. The goal was to overthrow the election and to maintain the pre-war racial order.
Violent Action -
This organization was to help fight for civil rights for African American people and other groups of minority people. This organization was not just formed of black people, but white people who felt what was happening was wrong.
Formation of an Organization -
The case said that segregation in schools(public) is unconstitutional. This overturned Plessy v. Ferguson(seperate but equal).
Supreme Court Case -
He was abducted and murdered while visiting relatives who lived in Mississippi. He was killed because of a false accusation by a woman who wanted to make he husband jealous. This became a big moment in the Civil Rights Movement.
Violent Action -
She would not give up her seat on a bus for a passenger who was white. This would spark the Montgomery Bus Boycott, after her arrest.
Protests -
These were 9 African American students that desegregated Central High School. This forced a federal intervention that upheld the Supreme Court's rule preventing segregated schools.
Executive Orders from the President -
This was a protest where 4 black students went to a white-only restaurant. They refused to leave when the server refused to serve them.
Protest -
This was a massive civil rights movement held by Martin Luther King Jr., who would give the famous ¨I have a dream speech¨. He is one of the most famous leaders of the Civil Rights Movement today.
March(protest) -
This outlawed discrimination because of ¨someone's race, color, religion, sex, or national origin¨ in a public setting or federally assisted programs. This is an enforcement of the right to vote and the desegregation of the schools.

This was 3 protest marches led by MLK Jr.. This was to advoate for African Americans to vote.
Protest (March) -
MLK Jr. was assassinated by James Earl Ray because of monetary gain. He was thought to be in a conspiracy of white supremacists and part of a group.
