    Albany Plan
    The Albany Plan started in 1754. The British Board of Trade called a meeting of seven of the northern colonies at Albany. It was a meeting to discuss the problems of the colonial trade and the danger of the attacks that the French and their Native American allies would do. Benjamin Franklin had offered the Albany Plan of Union. He also had the power from the congress of delegates to raise military & naval forces to make war and peace.

    The Stamp Act Congress was Britain's harsh tax and trade policies. An Act of a Parliament of Great Britain in 1765 that imposed a direct tax on the colonies of British America and required that many printed materials in the colonies be produced on stamped paper produced in London, carrying an embossed revenue stamp. Parliament repealed the Stamp Act due to the mob violence that erupted at several ports, and many colonists supported a boycott of English goods. British troops killed 5.

    The Boston Tea Party was started on December 16th, 1773. A political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, MA. In defiance of the Tea Act of May 10, 1773, destroyed an entire shipment of tea sent by the East India Company. They boarded the ships and threw the chests of tea into Boston Harbor. Colonists objected to the Tea Act because they believed that it violated their rights as Englishmen. In the 7 ships were more than 2,000 chests containing nearly 600,000 pounds of tea.

    The First Continental Congress was a meeting for delegates for twelve of the thirteen colonies. It was at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It lasted 1 month, 1 year, 21 days. As well as it was early in the American Revolution.
  • The Second Continental Congress

    The Second Continental Congress
    The Second Continental Congress met in Philadelphia on May 10th, 1775. The Revolution had begun because of the British government continued to refuse to compromise during the fall & winter of 1774-1775. During all of this the "shot heard 'round the world" had been fired. And then the battles of Lexington & Concord was fought 3 weeks earlier on April 19th, 1775 which was a bloodshed of a battle. The Founding Fathers was in the process after with Thomas Jefferson which was in June 1775.
